ROCKCOTE Marrakesh is a Moroccan or Tadelakt inspired lime plaster, worked to give a smooth seamless finish. It can be left matt, or polished and waxed, or black soaped in areas subject to moisture.

Suitable: as a decorative plaster on interior and exterior dimensionally stable walls. Ideal for feature walls in receptions, stairwells and bathrooms.  It can handle some water in bathrooms but not recommended in shower recesses or for bathtubs, hand basins, benchtops, or splashbacks.
Appearance: is  smooth matt, or polished sheen, depending on how it is finished. It can also create texture walls such as split stone or other creative and decorative effects.
Colours: natural white but can be tinted to a wide range of colours using Alkali resistant oxides.
VOC: is zero
Odour: low to no odour and no residual off-gassing
Durability: lime forms a hard long lasting surface, but all decorative finishes will require care to maintain them.
Water resistance: excellent
Application: is with a stainless steel trowel and polished with a Tadelakt stone or flexible trowel. Apply in temperatures above 5'C and below 35'C.
ROCKCOTE recommends Marrakesh is applied only by highly skilled and licensed tradespeople with extensive experience in these products. It is the responsibility of the applicator to understand the application method and procedure involved for each substrate, in order to obtain a satisfactory outcome.
Preparation:  the substrate needs to be sound, clean and installed according to the building code so there is no movement of the substrate. Any base coats should be fully cured. ROCKOTE Natural Materials Systems Guide outlines the correct priming and procedure for different substrates. ROCKCOTE will also prepare a custom specification for each project if requested.
Curing: is 28 days
Coverage: is approximately 4sq.m /16kg bag @2mm thickness.
Coats: 1 coat at 2-3mm for a smooth, trowel or sponge finish. 2 coats at 2mm for a glass or polished lustre finish.
Seal: with Liquid Carnauba Wax, Black Soap, or Repel .
